Last week, our sleeper picks were lacking. None of our RB picks did anything that was better than average. Dak Prescott represented us well at QB, but both Jameis Winston and Baker Mayfield were middle-of-the-road beyond that. John Ross did catch a TD and the Giants defense feasted against Mark Sanchez, but those were out only other notable sleepers that panned out. We’ll try to improve for the critical Week 15 matchups that you’re going to face this week....

As always, we must note that any of our sleeper picks below could bust this week. We’re always going to take chances here because it’s a waste of time to list obvious players. That doesn’t help anyone. You won’t start the guys below over proven producers, but you also don’t need fantasy sleepers if your lineup is locked in. Even if you’re set in season-long leagues, our sleeper picks can help you find value in NFL DFS contests, as the prices of these players should be affordable....

Both are great ideas. Even better: Let’s combine them, bring retired health care workers and young adults together, and create an intergenerational service corps that can quickly and efficiently vaccinate millions of Americans. Bringing the two generations together combines the different life experiences and skills of both, making for a powerful pairing. Retired doctors, nurses, dentists and pharmacists could provide the shots and monitor patients for reactions. Young adults, as Collins and Meehan suggest, could “help contact trace, inform, and support the logistics of distributing, administering, and tracking hundreds of millions of vaccine doses....

We’ll also our pick spots to bank on relatively low DraftKings ownership for players who burned people their past few times out. The public may fade players with poor numbers down the stretch and disappointing preseason catch rates, giving us a competitive edge when a primary role is affirmed for cheaper options. Of course, we don’t know everything. Near the top, there’s reason to worry about DeAndre Hopkins, solely when thinking about Week 1. The 49ers have a great defense and Hopkins is on a new team. We assume he’ll still ball out, and that’s why he’s in our top-10, and you’re never going to sit him Week 1, so this is probably a moot discussion point. But still, there’s more risk associated there than we’re used to with Hopkins....

The four teams idle this week (Broncos, Ravens, Vikings, Texans) all feature defenses that are usually considerations in fantasy leagues, so you’d think losing them would really hurt. Yes and no. While it would be nice to have more depth, none of those four are particularly generous to opposing D/STs (statistically Minnesota has been, but that’s more because of a few big plays). With teams like the Cardinals, Jaguars and Giants back after their byes, plus the usual suspects of rookie QBs (Jets, Browns), turnover-prone QBs (Bucs, Bills, 49ers, Dolphins), and teams that have given up double-digit sack games this year (Lions, Titans), it’s relatively easy to make a case for over half the available D/STs this week....

For posterity and routine, a quick note on last week. The Dion Lewis train dropped us off at our first sub-2.5X on the season, moving our season average to a still-quite-good 156 DraftKings points in Sunday featured contests, via the cash game log. As always, we kick things off by looking at what we got wrong last week, and thankfully there wasn’t a ton (LeGarrette Blount’s big day notwithstanding). We then consult Siri (mispronounced as “Suri” because Matt legitimately thought we were asking Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ daughter about fantasy football) to find the most searched players of the week. “Sugar Ray” Leonard Fournette, Melvin Gordon, A.J. Green, Kerryon Johnson and Baker Mayfield all make the cut....

Josh Adams (Eagles) and Justin Jackson (Chargers) stand out as RBs that may be available in some leagues that could have bigger roles for their teams moving forward. If you can get your hands on one of them, you may find a solid FLEX play at the very least, though touches could prove to be an issue for Jackson depending on how he splits carries with Austin Ekeler.
