Bad matchups for at least a few receivers are a given every week, but the bad quarterback play that continues to spread throughout the league is a bigger worry. DeAndre Hopkins and Demaryius Thomas were able to shake off their QB woes and post good games in Week 9, but based on what we saw from Hopkins last year and the fact Thomas hadn’t scored in practically an entire season’s worth of games before last week’s garbage-time TD, we all know that’s not a guarantee going forward.
Arizona’s, Green Bay’s, and Tampa Bay’s talented receivers are also being sunk by their respective QBs right now, and with the Cardinals facing the Seahawks, the Packers facing the Bears, and Ryan Fitzpatrick possibly starting for Tampa, it could be another tough week for all of those players. High(ish) floors and good QBs go a long way in this week’s rankings.
