Our strategy is always to stick with a kicker with a good leg that operates within a good offense. Those are the two major variables you can control. Anything else is just guessing. This week, there are some solid kicker streamers should you need one. Brandon McManus (@ 49ers) is in a good matchup where he should get a chance to make some kicks in warmer weather. Elsewhere, Michael Badgley (vs. Bengals) and Cairo Santos (vs. Saints) are both playing in warmer climates and get to take on defenses that can allow a lot of yards. So, if you need someone of the free agent market, those guys might be solid adds.

The later the season gets, the more important it is to have a kicker that is kicking in either a dome or good weather. Though the kicker position is maddeningly inconsistent, avoiding cold-weather kickers is one of the few aspects that fantasy owners can control. It doesn’t mean you’ll get the best results, but at least you’ll have a little peace of mind and won’t have to worry about storms or other wintry conditions.
