This week, a particularly difficult choice will be facing fantasy owners regarding several veteran options. Guys like Matt Ryan and Matthew Stafford, a couple of passers who were considered top-10 guys at the beginning of the season, have regressed badly in recent weeks. And now, owners that have them will have to make decisions on whether o start them or to rely on some of the young guns that have been stepping it up as of late. It’s always tough to trust a streamer, but these guys may be too good to pass on.

Notably, Lamar Jackson (vs. Buccaneers) and Josh Allen (vs. Lions) have two great, home matchups on tap for this week. Both players have excelled as scramblers in recent weeks (Allen, in particular, has been excellent in that category) so that makes both high-floor, high-ceiling options. Sure, it’s hard to recommend using a couple of mistake-prone rookies over a proven guy like Ryan, but the fact is they have higher floors.
For those that survived Jared Goff’s awful Sunday night game against the Bears, here’s a word to the wise: Don’t bench him for an inferior option this week. The Eagles defense just allowed Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper to go wild in the second half. Goff should be able to do much more with his arsenal of weapons, so even if you’re worried after the negative-point dud he put up against the Bears, feel free to trust him against a weaker defense.
