The strategy of looking for kickers in weather-controlled or warm-weather environments is evident early in our rankings. Both of our top-ranked kickers, Greg Zuerlein and Wil Lutz, play in domed stadiums this week and are in two of the league’s best offenses. Elsewhere, Matt Prater and Dan Bailey fall within the top 20, as they play in Detroit, so they can be trusted if you’re looking for a climate-controlled option at the position.

As we’ve said all year, stick with kickers that are in good offenses and have strong legs. Nothing matters more than that. Choose your kicker wisely. It can be a make-or-break decision at this point in the season.
