MORE RANKINGS: QB | RB | TE | D/ST | K
FIVE STAR
1. Calvin Johnson, Lions at Panthers 2. A.J. Green, Bengals vs. Atlanta 3. Demaryius Thomas, Broncos vs. Chiefs 4. Dez Bryant, Cowboys at Titans 5. Julio Jones, Falcons at Bengals 6. Brandon Marshall, Bears at 49ers7. Jordy Nelson, Packers vs. Jets: Nelson caught nine passes on 14 targets against the stout Seahawks secondary. He should be capable of a lot more against the Jets’ depleted unit. 8. Antonio Brown, Steelers at Ravens 9. Percy Harvin, Seahawks at Chargers10. Randall Cobb, Packers vs. Jets: Like Nelson, Cobb should find himself open early and often against a less-than-stellar Jets secondary.11. Michael Crabtree vs. Bears: “King Crab” didn’t have a great Week 1, but he should be more involved against what we expect to be a more competitive Bears team. 12. Pierre Garcon, Redskins vs. Jaguars 13. Andre Johnson, Texans at Raiders14. Vincent Jackson, Buccaneers vs. Rams: Jackson and the Bucs’ passing game should improve going forward. Perhaps as soon as this week against a Rams defense that is better than what they showed in Week 1. FOUR STAR
15. Alshon Jeffery, Bears at 49ers* - We haven’t heard anything regarding Jeffery’s hamstring, but if he’s full-go, he’s worthy of a higher ranking than No. 15. Until we see that though, we have to proceed with some caution.16. Michael Floyd, Cardinals at Giants - It’s only one game, but Floyd looked good in the MNF opener. If he keeps it up, he’ll start climbing into WR1 consideration on a weekly basis. 17. Jeremy Maclin, Eagles at Colts 18. Roddy White, Falcons, at Bengals19. Larry Fitzgerald, Cardinals at Giants - It wasn’t a good 2014 debut for Fitzy, but we don’t expect the Cardinals to ignore someone who should already be considered one of the game’s all-time best receivers.20. Cordarrelle Patterson, Vikings vs. Patriots - It’s all about touches for Patterson, and Vikings offensive coordinator Norv Turner seems to understand that, getting his most explosive playmaker looks in the run, pass, and return game. He’ll top out as a WR2 until he becomes a more consistent threat in the passing game, but the early indications are he’ll be a fantasy factor each week. 21. Emmanuel Sanders, Broncos vs. Chiefs 22. Marques Colston, Saints at Browns
THREE STAR
23. DeSean Jackson, Redskins vs. Jaguars 24. Kendall Wright, Titans vs. Cowboys 25. Julian Edelman, Patriots at Vikings26. Victor Cruz, Giants vs. Cardinals - The G-Men can’t be this bad again, can they? Cruz has been too good to write off this early, but his Week 1 performance was certainly discouraging.27. Keenan Allen, Chargers vs. Seahawks - A date with Patrick Peterson is followed by a meeting with the “Legion of Boom”. Better days – and rankings – are ahead for Allen, who should work his way into the WR1 discussion eventually. 28. Torrey Smith, Ravens vs. Steelers 29. Reggie Wayne, Colts vs. Eagles30. Brandin Cooks, Saints at Browns - It was only one game, but it was an electrifying one for the rookie out of Oregon State. Don’t let your expectations get out of hand in the short-term, but it does appear as if Cooks could be a weekly starter for fantasy managers. 31. T.Y. Hilton, Colts vs. Eagles 32. Anquan Boldin, 49ers vs. Chicago 33. Terrance Williams, Cowboys at Titans 34. Golden Tate, Lions at Panthers 35. Justin Hunter, Titans vs. Cowboys 36. Mike Wallace, Dolphins at Bills 37. Eric Decker, Jets at Packers38. Kelvin Benjamin, Panthers vs. Lions - Another rookie, another sterling debut. Another good game from Benjamin will see him climb these rankings into WR2 territory. In the meantime, treat him as a flex with upside.
TWO STAR
39. Dwayne Bowe, Chiefs vs. Broncos 40. Brian Hartline, Dolpins at Bills41. Steve Smith Sr., Ravens vs. Steelers - Smith received 15 targets on Sunday and lands on our radar for Week 2. 42. Riley Cooper, Eagles at Chiefs43. Mike Evans, Buccaneers vs. Rams - Like Jackson, Evans should have more success in Week 2, but fantasy owners should still take a “show me” approach with the rookie. 44. DeAndre Hopkins, Texans at Raiders 45. Markus Wheaton, Steelers at Ravens
ONE STAR 46. Malcom Floyd, Chargers vs. Seahawks 47. Sammy Watkins, Bills vs. Dolphins48. Allen Hurns, Jaguars at Redskins - The matchup is certainly good for Hurns to follow up his explosive debut. Keep in mind that Hurns caught two early touchdowns in the first quarter and then went quiet. 49. Cecil Shorts III, Juguars at Redskins* 50. Rueben Randle, Giants vs. Cardinals
*Indicates player’s status for the week is still in question.
